New Delhi: South India’s biggest superstar Rajnikanth recently took the Box office by storm with his latest blockbuster Jailer. Dilip Kumar’s directorial had an amazing run at the ticket window during which it amassed over Rs 600 crore at the BO.
Now, following Jailer’s success, the veteran actor is all set to create yet another Tsunami with his upcoming movie Laal Salaam. The sports drama, directed by none other than Rajnikanth’s daughter Aishwarya Rajnikanth will arrive on the big screens at the festival of Pongal 2024 and it’s makers made an official statement about the same on Sunday.
Taking to its Twitter handle (X), Lyca shared the news with the fans with a tweet that read, “LAL SALAAM to hit screens on PONGAL 2024″ In the post, the filmmakers also attached an intriguing poster of the film featuring Rajnikanth in his iconic massy looks.

Helmed by the Superstar’s daughter Aishwarya Rajnikanth, Lal Salam is an upcoming Tamil Sports-drama that features Rajnikanth in an extended cameo role. Besides Rajni, the sports drama also boasts a stellar cast of Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in important roles.
The movie is produced by Subhakaran Allirajah under Lyca Productions while its melodies music is composed by ace music maestro AR Rehman. It will arrive in the theatres next year on 16th January.
