Man bored of Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Sooryavansham’ writes letter to Set Max, netizens react

New Delhi: Amitabh Bachchan’s classic film ‘Sooryavansham’ has been a matter of hilarious memes and tweets for its repetition on SET Max, a film-based TV channel owned by Sony. While people still enjoy watching it, there are some who are bored of watching the same film again and again. Likewise, a man wrote a letter to the channel asking them to stop the telecast of ‘Sooryavansham’.

A picture of the letter was shared by the popular paparazzi page Viral Bhayani. The letter said that the man and his family know all about Heera Thakur and his family by heart. Under the RTI act, he wanted to ask a few questions from the channel. The man asked how many times to date has the channel telecasted this film, how many times will it be telecast in future and if it affects his mental state then who is responsible for it?

Netizens found the letter hilarious and said that they could also relate to the man’s feelings. Meanwhile, a user stated that Zee Cinema also shows ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’ every Sunday.

‘Sooryavansham’ is a 1999 film starring Amitabh Bachchan in a double role as Bhanupratap Singh and his son Heera Thakur. Heera does not have a good relationship with his father for being illiterate, while he is determined to fulfil his father’s dream.

The film also stars Soundarya, Rachna Banerjee, Anupam Kher, Mukesh Rishi and Kader Khan. Directed by E.V.V. Satyanarayana, the film is considered a cult classic.
