Milind Soman shares his secret to a fit and healthy life

Milind takes dessert only if they are sweetened by jaggery. He also said, “I stay away, as far as possible, from over refined, processed and packaged food.”

New Delhi: Milind Soman is a man for whom one can say ‘old is gold’, even at the age of 55 he is one of the true-blue fitness enthusiasts in the country. He constantly urges his fans to follow him by doing exercise and living a healthy lifestyle. Soman made waves on Friday after he shared his meal plan on his Instagram account.

Milind Soman’s Meal Plan

Milind Soman shared his entire day’ eating habit including breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and dessert. He posted a picture of himself with a plate filled with food in his hands and wrote, “Since a lot of you have been asking about what I eat, here you go! This is the usual, might change depending on where I am and what is available (sic).”

Milind starts his day by drinking half litre of water at room temperature, then he eats his breakfast at around 10 am. For breakfast, het takes some nuts, one papaya, one melon along with any four seasonal fruit like mangoes.

Describing his lunch, he wrote, “Lunch – around 2 pm. usually rice and dal khichadi with local and seasonal vegetables, ratio one part dal/rice and 2 parts vegetables. With two teaspoons of homemade ghee. Sometimes, if not rice, 6 chapatis with vegetables and dal. Very rarely, like once a month, a small piece of chicken/mutton or an egg (sic).”

Milind also shared what he has for snacks and dinner in the post, “Dinner – around 7pm. A plate of vegetables/bhaji. If very hungry, some khichadi. No non vegetarian.” Adding that he takes tea or any dessert only if they are sweetened by jaggery.

Milind ended his post with his advice about packed food, “I stay away, as far as possible, from over refined, processed and packaged food. No supplements or extra vitamins. Water, as required, never cold. No soft drinks, alcohol once or twice a year, maybe a glass. No change during quarantine. Only addition was kadha 4 times a day (sic).”
