New Delhi: The forthcoming cricket drama film ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ is the second time that Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor will work together; their first collaboration was on the film ‘Roohi’. The release date of the film was revealed the other day, and it will be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
The date of April 19, 2024, has been set as the new, official release date for the movie, which is being directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Karan Johar. The audience is looking forward to seeing the uplifting story played out on the big screen, and this news is likely to ratchet up their level of anticipation for that experience.
Karan Johar made the announcement on social media with the assistance of a poster and shared it with the public. It was said, with the colour blue serving as a background, that Mr & Mrs Mahi will be launched on April 19, 2024. The poster says, Mr & Mrs Mahi along with the tagline ‘No Dream Is Ever Chased Alone!’ It also had the release date of ‘April 19, 2024’ scribbled in orange colour.
Posting the announcement, Karan Johar captioned, “Two hearts chasing one dream & it’s just pitch-er perfect!🎬✨
The field is set for #MrAndMrsMahi, coming to cinemas on 19th April 2024.”

About – ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’
Sharan Sharma, who is directing Mr And Mrs Mahi is the same person who made his directing debut with ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl,’ which starred Janhvi in the main role. The upcoming film has received support from Dharma Productions’ Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta, who are all involved in the production.
The actor will play the part of Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the film, while Janhvi will take on the role of a woman named Mahima in the film. In an interview with Mid-Day, Janhvi explained that to adapt to the mannerisms of a cricket player, she had to endure a gruelling six months of hard training. She said that getting into the mood of the character and syncing into the job was a laborious process that took six months to complete.
Additionally, a source has said that the actress put in a lot of effort to satisfy the needs of the film. For example, she trained in cricket postures, which included everything from batting to comprehending the body language of a player.
