Mukesh Khanna’s sister dies of lung congestion; a day ago he quashed rumours of his death

New Delhi: Shaktimaan actor Mukesh Khanna on Thursday announced the death of his elder sister Kamal Kapoor. The veteran actor informed that her sister died of lung congestion after battling Covid-19 for 12 days. The 62-year-old actor shared the news via his Facebook account on Wednesday, saying she died of lung congestion. Heartbroken over the loss of his elder sister, the actor said, “For the first time in life, he is so heavily shaken”.

Mukesh Khanna’s sister’s death comes just a day after the actor denied reports and dismissed rumours of his own death on social media. .

He posted some photos of his sister while captioning them, “Yesterday I struggled for hours to tell the truth of the false news about my death. But I did not know that a terrible truth is hovering over me. Today my only elder sister Kamal Kapoor has passed away in Delhi, I am very sorry for her death.”

He further wrote, “After defeating COVID in 12 days, she was defeated by lung congestion. Do not know how God is calculating. Really, I am shaken for the first time in my life.”

Apart from “Shaktimaan” he was also praised for his role as ‘Bhishma Pitamaha’ in television series “Mahabharata”. Earlier on Tuesday he had dismissed the rumours going around on social media about his sudden death.

He said on Tuesday, “With your blessings, I am completely healthy and safe. I don’t have COVID-19 and I was not admitted to any hospital.”
