New Delhi: A shocking revelation was made by Bollywood’s old-hand veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah in an interview with HOB’s CEO Karishma Mehta where he told how it took him seven years to get his wife’s parent’s approval for letting him marry her
Opening up to the CEO of Humans Of Bombay, Nasiruddin Shah also shared his take on love, relationship, and marriage.
In the interviews, the 72-year-old actor admitted being a drug addict and having a short temper.

Speaking of his professional life, Shah told how he was determined to build his career in the entertainment industry after completing studies at the Film and Television Institutions of India in Pune.
Gushing about his first meeting with his ladylove, Nasiruddin told that he first saw Pathak when she was working with filmmaker Satyadev Debey. He further told how just one look at Ratna made him realize that she is the one for him.
“I just felt like I would like to know this person over the process of rehearsal we got to know each other I think she also liked what she saw.”, quoted Shah describing his story of love at first sight.

He continued saying “I was courting her for 7 years. Her parents were against our marriage because I was married before and I was a drug addict and ill-tempered man but she never paid any heed to that. Because we were practically living together, so when we moved together it was the most normal thing in the world.”
Praising his 66-year-old wife for having his back over all these years, Naseeruddin stated that he considers Ratna a blessing as she always stood with him throw thick and thin.
He further went on to say that the main reason behind his unbreakable bond with his wife is their friendship which is the most important thing.
Naseeruddin on the work front
On the professional front, the Ishquya actor was last seen in the second installment of Vibhu Puri’s directorial Taj Reign of Revenge.
Coming to Ratna, she will be soon seen on the big screens alongside Dia Mirza, Sanjana Sanghi, and Fatima Sana Shaik in
Tarun Dudeja’s movie Dhak Dhak which expected to release by the end of this year.
