New Delhi: The last month of the year 2021 has a lot to offer to the movie lovers as back-to-back big budget films featuring mega stars are lined up to the theatres.
Not long ago, Netflix announced a Malayalam film superhero film Directed by Basil Joseph to release on the streaming service. The upcoming movie featuring Tovino Thomas in the lead role as a superhero has got a release date.
Here’s a list of films from Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada for you to binge this December. From Minnal Murali to Oh My Dog, these films are all set to be released on OTT platforms in December.
New arrivals on OTT in December 2021:
1. Chithirai Sevvaanam
Platform: Zee5
Release Date: December 3
The film marks the directorial debut of stunt choreographer Stunt Silva as well as Pooja Kannan (younger sister of Sai Pallavi) in lead role along with Samuthirakani and Rima Kallingal. ‘Chithirai Sevvaanam’ is a poetic story that imparts a beautiful bond of a father and daughter played by Samuthirakani and Pooja Kannan.
2. Minnal Murali
Platform: Netflix
Release Date: December 24
Directed by Basil Joseph, the upcoming movie features Tovino Thomas in the lead role as a superhero. ‘Minnal Murali’ is a story of an ordinary man -turned-superhero Murali, who is struck by a bolt of lightning, which bestows him with special powers. Guru Somasundaram, Harisree Ashokan and Aju Varghese are also part of the movie.
3. Oh My Dog
Platform: Amazon Prime Video
Release Date: December 24
Sarov Shanmugam directorial ‘Oh My Dog’, happen to be the fourth film from Suriya’s production house, 2D Entertainment to get an OTT release. Set in the backdrop of Ooty, Oh My Dog explores the relationship between a boy and his pet dog. The film features Arnav Vijay, Arun Vijay and Vijay Kumar.
