Nora Fatehi: People don’t marry for love, but for money and to remain in the right camps

New Delhi: Canadian dancer and actress Nora Fatehi is buzzing in the Social Media not for her dance moves or sexy body, but this time the 32 year old dancer has caught the attention allegedly for her statement about Marriages in Bollywood. The actress was speaking in a Podcast where she said some people in the film industry don’t marry for love but for ‘money’ and to remain in the ‘right camps and circles’.

“I see it happening in front of me, in the industry, people get married for clout.” Without naming anyone, she shared, “Clout predators, they just want to use you for your fame but not with me. That’s why you don’t see me running around with guys or dating… but I see it is happening in front of me. In the film industry, people get married for clout.”

She added that “People use these wives or husbands for networking and for circles, for money, for relevance. They think, ‘I have to marry that person so I can stay relevant for the three years’ because she has a few films releasing and they were doing well at the box office, so I have got to ride that wave. People are that calculative. Those are predators, too.”

Nora also states “I don’t understand sacrificing your personal life, mental health and happiness because work is work, home life and personal life is something else. You can’t mix them both because then you will never be happy. And then you’ll wonder why you are depressed and suicidal and you can’t sleep at night. You’ve mixed things unnecessarily because of greed and bad intentions.”
