On Rishi Kapoor’s death anniversary, wife Neetu Kapoor opens up on losing a partner

According to the woman, her husband met Rishi in 1974 and the actor has always been supportive of him. Neetu became upset when she sang Lambi Judaai in his honor, and she was spotted holding back tears.

New Delhi: After a two-year struggle with illness, actor Rishi Kapoor died on this day in 2020. On the second anniversary of his death, his actress wife Neetu Kapoor and daughter Riddhima Kapoor posted emotional messages for him on social media.

On her Instagram page, Neetu re-shared casting director Shanoo Sharma’s Instagram Stories. Shanoo had just labeled a photo of Rishi with the word “you” and an infinity symbol. Neetu accompanied it with a love emoticon and a praying emoji.

On Instagram Stories, Riddhima Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor paid tribute to Rishi Kapoor.

Riddhima also shared a beautiful childhood photo of Rishi hugging her in his arms, together with a heart emoji, on her Instagram post.

Rishi Kapoor was also recalled by Alia Bhatt. On Instagram Stories, Alia Bhatt posted a picture with Rishi, Ranbir, and Neetu with the comment “always and forever.”

Neetu is now a judge on a dance reality show Dancing Deewane Juniors. She had recently cried after hearing about a contestant’s grandmother’s relationship with Rishi.

According to the woman, her husband met Rishi in 1974 and the actor has always been supportive of him. Neetu became upset when she sang Lambi Judaai in his honor, and she was spotted holding back tears.

“Rishi Ji is not here,” she responded, “but I meet someone every day, and that someone reminds me of him every day. And everyone has a story to tell concerning him. He’s still tied to me in some way, someplace.”

Neetu posted the video to Instagram and complained about “losing a partner.” “Today is two years after Rishi Ji left us,” she wrote. The loss of a 45-year companion was difficult and traumatic, and the only way to heal my heart at the time was to keep myself intellectually engaged… I was aided in this endeavor by movies and television. Rishiji will be remembered forever and will live on in everyone’s hearts.”
