Pathaan Pre Bookings: Over 2.5 lakh tickets sold, experts estimate first day opening to be Rs. 40 crore

The movie can expect a gross of Rs. 175 crore to Rs.200 crore in India making it to Rs.300 crore worldwide.

New Delhi: The pre-bookings for Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Pathaan has made a great assumption for the movie in one and a half day.

Earlier the pre-bookings were scheduled to start on Friday, January 20, but it got started prior to the scheduled date. In just the span of one and half a days, the bookings have reached up to 2.5 lakhs in total.

According to the data received from Atul Mohan, a trade analyst, in a total of 90,000 tickets were sold on the first day. To be very precise, PVR had a total of 35000 sales, Cinepolis sold 25000, and INOX with 30000 before 9 pm yesterday, January 19, 2023.

The movie has already bookings worth Rs. 15 crores. According to Akshaye Rathi, a film exhibitor, these numbers show up as a great start to the movie. He intends that Pathaan could receive Rs. 150 crores to around Rs. 200 crores in the first week of the run.

Considering the day, the movie is going to be released, the estimations are rising even higher. Since the release day falls on a working weekday, the estimations could go towards Rs. 35 crores.

Meanwhile, according to Girish Johar, a producer and film business analyst, the pre-bookings for day one of all languages and all formats are looking quite impressive. It seems very much contrasting from what it has been witnessed last year.

As per his estimation, if everything falls into place and goes well, the movie can make around Rs. 37 crores to Rs. 40 crores on day one of the release. Considering this, the movie can expect a gross of Rs. 175 crores to Rs.200 crore in India making it to Rs.300 crore worldwide.
