New Delhi: Actress Payal Rohatgi has been arrested by Ahmedabad Police for threatening her society’s chairperson. In a now-deleted social media post, the actress abused chairperson and a complaint has been filed by a resident of the society named Dr Parag Shah.
As per reports, Payal also hurled abuses at the chairperson in WhatsApp groups. The complainant alleged that Payal Rohatgi threatened to break the leg of anyone who argued with her and got into a verbal fight over a common plot used as a playing area.
Payal attended the society’s AGM meeting despite not being a member. When she was asked not to speak, she started hurling abuse at the members.
Payal took to Instagram to share a video of herself worshiping Lord Shiva. In the caption, she wrote that she is being trapped. “I know I am being used to fulfil an agenda by certain people who themselves don’t want to do the dirty work, but I am going with the flow even though I know I am being trapped as God has a plan for me which none of these powerful people can even touch. Om Namah Shivay (sic),” read her note.

Payal Rohatgi was earlier arrested by the Rajasthan police for her alleged explosive comments against the former Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Her Twitter was suspended twice last year owing to abusive content
