New Delhi: Katrina Kaif starrer horror-comedy ‘Phone Bhoot’ received a date for its OTT release. After releasing in November 2022, the film is ready to be released on the small screen. The film also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khattar in the lead roles.
Directed by ‘Mirzapur’ fame Gurmmeet Singh ‘Phone Bhoot’, the film follows a ghost, played by Katrina, who reaches out to two budding ghosthunters with a start-up idea. It is followed by a fun ghostbusting journey. The film also features Sheeba Chaddha, Nidhi Bisht, and Jackie Shroff, along with cameos by Fukrey boys Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh and Varun Sharma.
When and where to watch?
The film will release on Amazon Prime Video on January 2. Prime Video shared the news on Twitter and wished their fans a ‘Happy (spooky) New Year’. The film was first released on the platform with minimal rent, and now all subscribers will be able to access it from January 2 onwards.

‘Phone Bhoot’ is written by Jasvinder Bhath and Ravi Shankaran while the film is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani along with executive and line producers. The film is presented under the banner of Excel Entertainment.
The film is a mix of references from Bollywood and pop culture, and comical dialogues, while there is not much horror to serve. ‘Phone Bhoot’ was not very well received by the critics and the audience but it surely is an entertaining watch. With ‘Bhediya’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, and ‘Phone Bhoot’ it was a year for horror-comedies.
