The film may be a cinematic adaptation of creator Kalki Krishnamurthy’s Tamil novel of the same title which was released within the frame of a series amid the 1950s. It marks the third collaboration of Aishwarya with south performing artist Vikram after their critically acclaimed film Raavan in 2010.
Within the film, Aishwarya will be seen in double roles. She will play queen Nandini, the princess of Pazhuvoor, who is on a mission to look for retribution, as well as Mandakini Devi in the historical dramatization.
