Poonam Pandey, days after wedding, accuses husband of molesting her; arrested
Poonam Pandey's husband has been arrested after she complained to police about being harassed and molested. The incident happened in Canacona village in south Goa where Pandey is currently shooting for a film.
New Delhi: Actress Poonam Pandey’s husband Sam Bonbay was arrested in Goa on Tuesday, after she filed a complaint against him.
She accused her husband of assaulting, molesting and threatening her, police officials said.
This comes just a week after their marriage. On September 10, both Poonam and Sam shared pictures from the wedding ceremony. Poonam posted a picture of the bride and groom from one of the events, and wrote, “Here’s looking forward to seven lifetimes with you.”
The incident happened in Canacona village in south Goa where Pandey is currently shooting for a film, said an official.
“Pandey filed a complaint late Monday night claiming her husband Sam Bombay had molested her, and threatened her with dire consequences after assaulting her. He was arrested,” Inspector Tukaram Chavan of Canacona police station said.
Poonam and Sam were in a live-in relationship for around two years and recently got married at their home in Bandra, in company of close friends and family members.
Sharing a picture from their wedding, she wrote on Instagram, “Here’s looking forward to seven lifetimes with you.”
