Prince William surprises food van diners by serving ‘Earthshot Burgers’ in London

The special burgers served by the Prince came nicely packed in unique environment-friendly boxes that were created using seaweed instead of plastic by a company named Notpla

New Delhi; Londoners were left stunned when Prince William himself took charge of serving them eco-friendly burgers from a food van in southern London.

The 41-year-old successor of the British throne, who previously launched the annual Earthshot Prize to assist in the fight against environmental problems, recently dropped a video on the Royal family’s youtube channel in which he was seen serving Earthshot burgers to a number of food van diners in the British capital.

The video has been released to showcase the efforts made by the winners of 2022’s Earthshot prize.

As the customers watched in surprise and disbelief, Prince greeted them saying, “Morning everyone, here are your burgers, nicely cooked and ready to go.” He then told them to line up in front of the food van to receive their respective burgers.

For the special campaign, Prince William came together with the founders of a YouTube channel named Sorted Food who are popular for reviewing eco-friendly cooking appliances and sharing unique recipes. This was done to raise the profile and appreciate the hard work done by three former Earthshot price winners.

Prince William’s Burger’s connection with India

The special burgers served by the Prince came nicely packed in unique environment-friendly boxes that were created using seaweed instead of plastic by a company named Notpla. Kheyti, an Indian company grew the ingredients used in the eco-friendly burgers in a greenhouse and the Mukru clean stoves, designed specifically by a Kenyan woman to reduce air pollution, were used in cooking the burgers.

Speaking of the burger’s taste, Prince warned the customers saying, “Can’t vouch for the taste, the quality but … I’m rolling with it.”
