New Delhi: Recently Priyanka Chopra broke her years-long silence on being pushed out of the Hindi film Industry on a podcast show. Her statements have invited reactions from many famous faces in Bollywood.
The latest one to come in support of the Baywatch actress is her Hollywood manager Anjula Acharia.
As Priyanka’s comments have caused quite a stir on Twitter, a user throwback to a 2021 interview, where Anjula Acharia spoke of prominent people in Bollywood who tried to talk her out of working with Priyanka Chopra. The user requested everyone to read Anjula’s interview.

Priyanka’s US Manager replied by saying, “Naysayers are just noise…we proved them wrong.”
She further added that she knew Priyanka would be a global star the first time she saw her on Television. “Priyanka is undeniable,” she wrote.
Anjula’s 2021 Interview
In the old interview, Anjula Acharia recalled the time she first sign a deal with the Bajirao Mastani actress. “Many people, particularly in India were negative,” She said.
She then spoke about how they tried to talk her down by saying that Priyanka Chopra isn’t going to work and she is just wasting her time. “I remember feeling so hurt,” she said.
Anjula and Priyanka’s ties go as back as 2011 when the actress was working for the film Saat Khoon Maaf. She rang up the actress and asked if she is interested in pursuing a music career in Hollywood.
Despite working with big names such as Pitbull and Will. I.Am, Priyanka’s music career didn’t take off.
However, Anjula also got Priyanka into auditioning for acting roles, which worked better for the actress.
Speaking of Priyanka’s success, Anjula called it a crazy dream. She said it seemed unreal to bring someone from India to make it big in Hollywood. But looking into Priyanka’s eyes made her believe.
Besides Anjula, Kangana Ranaut and Priyanka Chopra’s cousin Meera Chopra has also spoken in PC’s support.
