New Delhi: In the last ten years we have seen multiple Bollywood celebrities getting married in picture perfect ceremony. The common factor among these weddings are that everyone is chasing perfection with only approved images and videos to be put out.

Moreover their wedding trousseau, jewellery and make-up, everything looks so similar that it gives an impression, that they are all copying each other.

People could hardly figure out difference between Anushka Sharma’s and Kiara Advani’s wedding lehenga. Same was the case with Aaliya Bhat’s and Parineeti’s lehenga.

None of the wedding had true reflection of their native culture and tradition. Seemed they are just recreating their movie scenes in their real wedding. Even their rituals like “varmala”, “pheras” and “sindoor” looked so rehearsed and filmy. Parineeti and Raghav’s wedding video looked so similar to Kiara and Sidhartha wedding that netizens went on to comment that they have hired same wedding planner.

However Randeep Hooda-Lin and Yami Gautam-Aditya Dhar’s wedding had the most organic feel and had netizens going “Wow” over it.

Since Randeep Hooda married Lin Laishram, a native of Manipur, the wedding happened in traditional Manipuri style. Like a typical dulha Randeep took baraat to Manipur and the wedding rituals were done as per Manipur’s Meitei Hindu tradition.

Lin looked stunning in Manipuri attire, decked up in a white and pink saree paired with a black blouse. She completed her look with gorgeous gold jewellery while Randeep was seen in an all-white kurta and dhoti attire, with a yellow headwear. He was surrounded by other guests in white attires.

It was that most natural wedding ceremony in recent times.

A user commented :

“Beautiful pastedGraphic.png culture & traditional

…………………

Ceremonies that don’t look like right out of a bollywood assembly line are so refreshing. Beautiful!”

Something similar was done by Yami Gautam and Aaditya Dhar in June, 2021. They got married in Mandi, hometown of Yami Gautam.

For the wedding, Yami Gautam wore her mother’s sari, a nose ring and a dupatta given by her grandmother. She did her own make-up and had her sister, Surilie, do her hair. The wedding rituals were done as per hindu traditional pahadi style without any filmy kisses and gesture of pulling their partner close-by . Back then Yami said that the couple didn’t feel any obligation for “pomp and show” and hence were comfortable with a traditional and intimate ceremony.
