RRR fever continues in Japan, Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer to be screened in 27 IMAX screens

On October 21, Jr NTR and Ram Charan’s RRR hit Japanese cinemas. The film spawned a significant fan base in Japan, with fans creating anime, merchandising, and other creative works.

New Delhi: RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli and starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan, made everyone in the nation happy by winning a Golden Globe and an Oscar for Best Original Song. That is not all of it! The historical action drama, which premiered in Japan in October 2022, is still performing well in cinemas. Now, due to rising demand, the movie will be presented on an extra 27 IMAX screens in Japan. For the past five months in a row, RRR has been on a tear in Japan.

RRR has been out in Japan for nearly five months. The movie is still doing well and making records at the box office. RRR will be shown in 27 more IMAX theatres around the country beginning Wednesday, April 7. RRR’s official Twitter account stated, “27 IMAX theatres have been added across Japan as of today.” The Mass Rampage Run is still going on… #RRRMovie #RRRinJapan *(sic).”

The RRR team announced on April 4 that they had logged 1 million footfalls in 164 days. This is a big accomplishment for Indian cinema.

The movie RRR is based on the narratives of two Telugu rebels, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. Ram Charan and Jr NTR portray the two characters, respectively. The Oscar 2023 for Best Original Song went to RRR’s Naatu Naatu. It was the first Indian song to accomplish this feat.

In addition to Jr NTR and Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, and Shriya Saran have major parts in RRR. MM Keeravaani created the soundtrack for the movie.
