Rs 400 crore in 4 days! Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ breaking records at box office

As per the trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie has surpassed ‘KGF 2’ (Hindi) and ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ (Hindi) in reaching the Rs 200 crore Nett mark.

New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s ‘Pathaan’ is shattering all the records at the box office and after day 4, the film has entered the Rs 200 crore club at the Indian box office while the worldwide collection has crossed the Rs 400 crore mark. As per the trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie has surpassed ‘KGF 2’ (Hindi) and ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ (Hindi) in reaching the Rs 200 crore Nett mark.

Collection in India

The film began with a huge Rs 57 crore Nett collection on day 1 in India and as per the estimates, it crossed the Rs 50 crore Nett mark on day 4 as well. ‘Pathaan’ saw a 40 per cent jump in the domestic box office collection on January 28, Saturday, which takes its collection in India to Rs 212 crore Nett.

‘KGF 2’ (Hindi) and ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ (Hindi) crossed Rs 200 crore on days 5 and 6 respectively.

Worldwide collection

As per the Entertainment Industry Tracker Ramesh Bala, ‘Pathaan’ breached the Rs 400 crore mark in just four days. According to reports, the worldwide collection touched Rs 420 crore on day 4.

The advance bookings for the weekend show an upwards trend for YRF’s film.

About ‘Pathaan’

‘Pathaan’ is directed by Siddhartha Anand and stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana in major roles. The film is one of YRF’s spy thrillers where SRK plays an Indian spy standing against Jim, played by John Abraham. The film was released in the theatres on January 25.

The film got into controversy for a saffron bikini worn by Deepika in the song ‘Besharam Rang’ and became a target of the boycott trend, while the box office collection shows a completely different picture.
