New Delhi: Veteran actor Prabhas, who is one of the most popular actors in the Indian film industry, is all set to appear on the big screen with his highly awaited upcoming movie Salaar Part 1- Ceasefire.
Besides Salaar, The pan Indian actor, who was last seen in Om Raut’s controversial movie Adipurush is also gearing up for Nag Ashwin’s directorial Kalki 2898 AD.
With the fans eagerly waiting for the release of both the upcoming mega projects of the actor, it becomes necessary to see which of the two upcoming magnum opus has an advantage over the other.
Kalki 2898 AD to overshadow Salaar overseas?
While Salar is looking to dominate the overseas markets with its English release, Kalki 2898 AD has already generated buzz in the West by screening itself at Hollywood’s Comicon event in 2023.
Ever since its presentation at the said event, the mega movie has received a significant amount of attention from a number of Hollywood production houses. This brave move by Kalki’s makers is also expected to build a great pre-release buzz for the movie in the Western markets which is likely to take its statute to such heights from where it can even outperform Salaar.
Notably, some reports also have it that the team of Kalki AD, formerly known as ‘Project K’ has cracked a game-changing deal with a prominent production house in Hollywood.
Although the makers have made no official announcement regarding its release date, Kalki AD is expected to make it to the theatres by January 2024. Its eagerly awaited trailer also remains pending.
Salaar’s monstrous advance bookings
Meanwhile, Prabhas’ Salaar, which is almost a month away from its grand release, has shattered numerous pre-release records by garnering over ₹1.5 crore through advance bookings in the US alone. As per a tweet shared by film distributor Venky reviews, over 6396 tickets of the action drama were sold across 154 locations in the United States.
