New Delhi: Following Adipurush’s debacle, Pan-Indian Superstar Prabhas is looking to bounce back with his highly anticipated movie Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire.
After 4 years since its announcement, The mega-budged movie is finally on its way to arriving in the theatres and fans are waiting for the same with bated breath.
Saalar to outperform Jawan overseas?
Despite being more than a month away from its release, Prashanth Neel’s directorial has shattered numerous box office records by minting ₹1.92 crore in advance sales in the US. The movie’s buzz is so tremendous that it has even overshadowed Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie Jawan who has made around ₹ 1.52 through advance bookings in the US.
As per a tweet shared by film distributor Venky Reviews, Prabhas Magnum Opus has sold over 8100 tickets worth ₹ 1.92 in 222 locations through advance booking while Shah Rukh’s Pathan has minted ₹ 1.52 crores by selling over 1180 tickets in more than 407 locations.

Prabhas’ double role in Saalar
If some recently surfaced rumours are to be believed, Prabhas is likely to be seen playing a double role in Saalar. As per the claims of a person who allegedly got to visit Salaar’s set, Prabhas’ one character will come to the aid of the other after thousands of enemies encircle the latter in a particular scene from the movie.
Reports also have it that following the rumours of Saalar’s plot leak, the makers have decided to shift the location of their post-production work to Basoor village in Karnataka. This has been done as a preventive measure to curb any more plot leaks in the future.
Although no official confirmation about the leaked scenes has been made so far, fans are already getting excited to see their favourite actor in two completely different looks in the same movie.
Salaar to get a monstrous opening at box office?
Despite being a complete flop at the box office, Prabahas’s last movie Adipurush started off well and minted ₹ 85 at the box office.
However, considering Salar’s colossal advance booking in the West and its souring hype around the globe, it won’t be surprising if it surpasses Adipurush to become the highest opener of 2023. As per a report shared by Sacnilk.com, Prabhas’ mega movie is estimated to strom the BO by minting ₹ 80-85 crore on its opening day itself.
Saalar
Helmed by talented director Prashanth Neel, Saalar is a production of Homable films which boasts a stellar cast with actors including Prabhas Shruti Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Jagapathi Babuin in leading roles. The movie’s first part is slated for release on 28 September. However, its eagerly awaited tailor is yet to be dropped by the makers.
