Shilpa Shetty Birthday: A Sneak Peek at her early life, career and films

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is celebrating her birthday today. The ‘Life in Metro’ actress was born in Mangalore in Karnataka. Her parents used to work in a Pharmaceutical company. She studied at the St Anthony’s Girl’s High School in Matunga. Not many people know that Shilpa Shetty is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and used to be the captain of Volley Ball team in her school.

The 90s actress began her career as a model and was first featured in the Limca Ad. Following this, she stared getting many offers for television commercials. She signed her first debut film in the year 1992, ‘Gaata rahe mera dil’. Due to some reasons, this film was not released. Her next film was ‘Baazigar’ starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. The film was a hit and audience loved the performance of the fitness enthusiast.

The actress got married to the team owner of Rajasthan Royals Raj Kundra in 2009. The couple are parents of two kids Viaan and Samisha.

The Bollywood actress was linked with many actors at a time when she was at the peak of her career. However none of them ever confirmed their relationship publicly.

Apart from being a model, an actress and a Reality Show judge, Shilpa Shetty is a hard core fitness enthusiast and is known for her fit and toned body.
