New Delhi: The release date of Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer ‘Shershaah’ has been finally released. The film will be released on August 12 on OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. Siddharth will play the role of Late Captain Vikram Batra in the movie.
Siddharth took to Instagram to share the announcement with a note,” August 12th; Heroes live on through their stories. We are honoured to bring to you the true story of the Kargil War hero, Captain Vikram Batra (PVC).A film that has had a long journey for me and a real life character I am proud to play. #ShershaahOnPrime comes out on 12th August only on @primevideoin.”

The movie is Directed by Vishnu Varadhan and jointly produced by Dharma Productions and Kaash Entertainment.

Siddharth had earlier tweeted,” Shershaah to Delta – I have my eyes on target 150721. Waiting for your signal. OVER.” From his Twitter handle. This tweet was seen as a hint that the film’s release date can soon be announced.
