New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sonu Sood’s house in Mumbai has ‘Surveyed’ by Income Tax Department on Wednesday.
The Income Tax department officials are conducting a survey at his Mumbai residence since morning.
“Investing Wing of I-T department are at the residence of actor Sonu Sood since today morning,” sources with know-how of the matter said.
He recently made his debt as a TV anchor for India Today’s GNT (Good News Today).
He was also appointed as brand ambassador of the Delhi government’s ‘Desh Ke Mentors’ program.
He had said that there is no greater service than guiding students.
The actor, who turned ‘messiah’ for hundreds of Covid-19 patients, came under the scanner of investigative agencies after court took cognizance of the alleged storage of life-saving drugs at his residence and alerted the state administration against such practice.
Sonu Sood played pivotal role in sending the stranded people back home during the lockdown in 1st Covid-19 wave while in 2nd wave, he hogged national attention for helping and saving the Covid-19 patients.
He was approached by many for the supply of life-saving drugs as well as transportation of patients from remote locations to hospitals in big cities.
