New Delhi: Following the bust at the rave party in Mumbai Cordelia cruise on October 2 by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan along with seven others has been arrested. The accused will be presented before the Metropolitan Magistrate’s court on Monday.
NCB sources have informed that as part of the legal process, Aryan Khan was made to talk with his father after his arrest. Reportedly, the conversation between the two went for about two minutes.
Aryan’s phone has been confiscated and his WhatsApp chats are also been investigated by NCB.
Sources have revealed that during the interrogation by NCB, Aryan Khan was crying inconsolably throughout. During the questioning session, Aryan stated that he was consuming drugs for four years. Besides, he was on drugs even during his stays in UK and Dubai.
The arrest memo states 13gm of cocaine, 5gm of MD, 21gm of charas, and 22 pills of Ecstasy along with Rs 1.33 lakh was seized during the raid at Mumbai cruise.
Reportedly, at least eight people were arrested by NCB on Sunday, a day after the anti-drug agency busted the rave party at Cordelia cruise. The cruise which contained 100 passengers were headed to Goa.
Under the leadership of Sameer Wankhede, a top IRS officer, a team disguised like ordinary passengers went inside the cruise for investigation.
Apart from Aryan Khan, other arrested individuals include Munmun Dhamecha, Arbaaz Merchant, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Gomit Chopra, Nupur Sarika, and Vikrant Chhokar. Arbaaz and Aryan have been friends for nearly 15 years.
Aryan, Munmun, and Arbaaz were produced before the metropolitan magistrate’s court on Sunday evening where NCB granted custody of those arrested till today.
As per reports, Aryan Khan has been booked under Sections 27(punishment for consumption of any narcotic drug or psychotropic substance), 8C (produce, manufacture, possess, sell or purchase of drugs), and other relevant provisions of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS).
