New Delhi: Actor-comedian Sunil Grover took to his Instagram account to dedicate a post to King of Comedy Jaspal Bhatti Jaspal Bhatti on his birth anniversary today.

Grover wrote, “Birth Anniversary of Jaspal Bhatti Sir today. The man who made the entire generation laugh with his wit and humour. I had the opportunity to work with him at a very young age. He found humour in everything that he saw. Underlaid message for society was his goal. He must be making sure now that heavens know where they stand.”

Jaspal Bhatti was born on March 3, 1955 in Amritsar, Punjab. He was known for his collective satirist style among all other artist.

Bhatti is known for his TV series “Flop Show”, “Full Tension” and the mini capsule “Ulta Pulta”, which was aired on the Indian national television network Doordarshan in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

In 1985, he married Savit Bhatti. Later, the couple was blessed with a son Jasraj Bhatti and a daughter Raabiya Bhatti. Jasraj is married to famous actress Yami Gautam’s sister Surilie Gautam.

Jaspal Bhatti’s untimely demise due to a road accident had dismayed all his fans in 2012. In 2013, the actor was honoured with Padma Bhushan for his remarkable contribution to the industry.
