Was Bollywood against Gadar?

During the Show, Sunny told how he and the whole Gadar team was shown thumbs down by the Bollywood industry prior to the release of Gadar 1 but when the audience lifted up the movie and made it a blockbuster, everyone changed their attitude towards them.

He also spoke about Bollywood’s hostile attitude towards his movie back in 2001 by saying that Gadar 1  had to face a lot of issues due to distributors rejecting the movie saying “This is a Punjabi movie so I can’t buy it.”

“People use to suggest us to dub the movie’s dialogues in Hindi”, he added further.
