New Delhi: In the list of India’s most prominent actors who successfully stepped from being a Television actor to featuring in Bollywood movies, the Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput comes at the top.
Today, January 21, 2023, marks the 37th birth anniversary of the actor. In order to give him a tribute on his birthday, and to appreciate the versatility and authenticity he showed in the characters he played in reel life, here are some of them listed for his ardent fans.
1. Mahendra Singh Dhoni in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story
In this biopic, Sushant Singh Rajput performed Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The movie was a critical and financial success, and Rajput’s representation of the retired Indian cricket team captain was highly acclaimed. Disha Patani and Kiara Advani also played significant roles in the film.
2. Ishaan in Kai Po Che
‘Kai Po Che’ is based on the novel- “The 3 Mistakes of My Life” authored by Chetan Bhagat in which the versatile actor played the role of Ishaan. The movie was a modern-age drama that features the life journey of three friends. The youngsters are trying to find solace and fix a place for themselves in the world. The movie centers around Gujarat. Rajkummar Rao and Amit Sadh were the co-stars of Sushant in the movie.
3. Sarfaraz in PK
Rajput co-starred with Aamir Khan in this sci-fi comedy-drama. Rajput portrayed Sarfaraz, a young Pakistani guy who becomes infatuated with an Indian girl named Jaggu that was played by Anushka Sharma. Since his character had limited screen time in the film, his innocent depiction of Sarfaraz left a lasting impression.
4. Anirudh Pathak in Chhichhore
SSR played Anirudh Pathak, a dad who appears to be trying to reconcile with his son during his college years, in this Nitesh Tiwari film. The movie was a box office success, and Rajput’s performance as the character was appreciated for its psychological complexity and depth.
5. Lakhna in Sonchiriya
In the movie, Rajput portrayed the character of Lakhna, a dacoit. The movie was a smash hit, and Rajput’s performance as Lakhna, a dacoit who strives with his moral behavior, was appreciated for its complex and nuanced nature.
