New Delhi: Tamil Superstar Ajith Kumar is celebrating his 24th wedding anniversary with wife shalini. Ajith met his wife in 1999 during the shoot of ‘Amarkalam’ and the two started dating since then. However he was advised by one of the directors not to marry an actress. Ajith still proposed Shalini and the duo got married in 2000 in Chennai. The couple is blessed with two children today.

Ajith’s Early Life
The Tamil Superstar was born in 1971 in Thanjavur. He was the middle son of the three brothers. Ajith dropped out of school when he was in 10th grade. He initially worked as a Mechanic and later joined a Business venture and travelled abroad. However his father always wanted him to do a white collar job. He started doing Modelling assignments along with his business. He was soon noticed by a director who was doing a commercial and he thought Ajith has the face to become an actor.

He began his acting career in 1990. Ajith’s film journey began from here onwards. He also worked in one of the Telugu films. The Tamil actor got injured during racing and was advised best rest for over one and a half year.
