Theatrical Releases: Big budget movies to arrive on big screen in December 2021

New Delhi: Movie enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting to experience their favorite stars and genres on the big screen ever since the pandemic began. With state governments easing the Covid-19 norms and allowing theatres to open up almost in every state, audiences have started to heading towards the cinema halls.

Amidst the current development, the last month of the year 2021 is bringing big budget, mega starrer films to the big screen.

Bollywood stars like Akshay Kumar, Dhanush, Sara Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor have movies lined up to be released in December.

Have a look at the new arrivals for December 2021:

1. Tadap   

Directed by Milan Luthria, this love saga is also the official Hindi remake of the Telugu blockbuster ‘RX 100’. Actor Suniel Shetty’s son Ahan Shetty is all set to make his acting debut opposite Tara Sutaria in the film. ‘Tadap’ will be out in cinemas on December 3.

2. Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui 

The much-awaited film ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’, features Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles. Ayushmann’s character Manu Munjal, a weightlifting champion and fitness trainer in Chandigarh, who falls in love with Maanvi Brar, the new Zumba instructor at his gym, essayed by Vaani. Things go awry when Manu proposes to Maanvi, who reportedly reveals she is transgender. The film is all set for its theatrical release on December 10.

3. 83

Helmed by Kabir Khan, ’83’ revolves around India’s historical 1983 Cricket World Cup win. The movie features Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev, captain of the World Cup-winning team. ’83’ will hit the big screen on December 24.

4. Atrangi Re

Aanand L Rai’s ‘Atrangi Re’ is out, and the core of the film is clearly a complicated love triangle between Sara Ali Khan, Dhanush, and Akshay Kumar. Written by Himanshu Sharma, ‘Atrangi Re’ will release on silver screen on December 24.

5. Jersey

‘Jersey’ takes the audience into the life of a former cricketer played by Shahid and his wife, played by Mrunal. It opens with a jobless Shahid trying to fulfil his son’s dream to buy a jersey.
