New Delhi: Getting an entry into the Bollywood industry is tough competition. Acceptance of newcomers is a challenge for the audience themselves as they seem to be habituated to seeing the same faces ruling the industry. Besides, it becomes challenging for the newcomers to build their foundation in the very first move. Thus, they often dream of making their debut alongside superstars. Such is the case for King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan.
It is every heroine’s dream to make her debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan and many have achieved this in the industry as well. From Preity Zinta to Deepika Padukone, take a look at the actresses who have debuted in Bollywood with SRK as the co-actor.
1. Shilpa Shetty Kundra in Baazigar (1993)
The actress was first seen on the big screen in Baazigar with co-actors Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Shah Rukh Khan played the role of the villain in the movie which was a super-duper blockbuster at the box office. Since then, Shilpa never turned back and gave some amazing movies in the 90s including – Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994), Dhadkan (2000), Phir Milenge (2004) amongst others.
In 2007, she won the UK edition of Celebrity Big Brother, a popular reality show, and got the limelight. She also judged many Indian reality television shows such as Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Nach Baliye, and Super Dancer. Besides, she conducted several fitness campaigns and co-owns Bastian, one of the most popular restaurants in Mumbai.
She is married to businessman Raj Kundra and has two children, Viaan Raj Kundra and Samisha Raj Kundra.
2. Suchitra Krishnamoorthi in Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa (1994)
She made a debut in Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa with SRK in 1994. The former model was also seen in movies like Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag (2007) and Romeo Akbar Walter (2009). The actress has also written many novels such as The Summer of Cool, The Ghost on the Ledge, and a memoir titled Drama Queen which was adapted into a play. The actress got married to filmmaker Shekhar Kapur in 1999, however, got divorced in 2007. Recently, she made a cameo in Amazon Prime’s Guilty Minds.
3. Mahima Chaudhry in Pardes (1997)
After making her debut with Pardes, she went on to star in films like Dhadkan (2000) Lajja (2001), LOC Kargil (2003), Baghban (2003), and numerous others. She was last seen in the 2016 Bengali thriller Dark Chocolate. Talking about her personal life, she dated Leander Paes, however, broke up with him. She is a singer mother to her daughter Ariana from her marriage to former husband Bobby Mukerji.

4. Preity Zinta in Dil Se (1998)
Preity Zinta entered Bollywood with Mani Ratnam’s film Dil Se alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala. She became one of the biggest names in Bollywood by giving superhit movies like Soldier (1998), Kya Kehna (2000), Dil Chahta Hai (2001), and Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003). In 2011, she founded her own production house, PZNZ Media. She also co-owns the IPL team, Punjab Kings. The actress is married to Gene Goodenough and welcomed two twins Jai and Gia via surrogacy.
5. Gayatri Oberoi in Swadesh (2004)
The former model and actor made her debut with Swadesh alongside Shah Rukh Khan. However, she decided to step away from Bollywood. She is married to businessman Vikas Oberoi.
6. Deepika Padukone in Om Shanti Om (2007)
The actress has made her debut with Om Shanti Om and never looked back since then. Currently, she is one of the highest-paid actresses in Bollywood and has become a renowned name in the Hollywood industry as well. In 2018, the actress got married to actor Ranveer Singh. Deepika is on a career-high and will be seen alongside SRK in his next movie, Pathan.
7. Anushka Sharma in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008)
She is another most popular actress in Bollywood who made her debut beside Shah Rukh Khan. She gave some amazing hits like NH 10, PK, Jab Harry Met Sejal, and many more. She co-founded Clean Slate Filmz along with her brother, Karnesh Ssharma. In 2017, the actress got married to former India captain Virat Kohli and welcomes their daughter Vamika Kohli in 2021. She is currently filming Chakpa Xpress.
8. Mahira Khan in Raees (2017)
Although Mahira Khan is a big name in the Pakistan film industry, she made her Bollywood debut beside SRK in Raees. This remains to be her only Bollywood movie since Pakistani artists were banned from working in Bollywood.
