New Delhi: Kishore, who recently appeared in Rishab Shetty’s Kantara movie, is in the spotlight after his Twitter account was suspended for violating Twitter rules. While it’s still ambiguous why his account was suspended, fans were eager to know about this. Some even tagged Twitter CEO Elon Musk, pleading with him to reinstate Kishore’s account.
The actor was active on Twitter from the handle ‘@actorkishore’. “Account suspended. Twitter suspends accounts that violate the Twitter Rules,” is the message that shows up if a user checks for the actor’s handle. It is unclear when the account was suspended.
A fan has tweeted, “Dear @elonmusk, why is @actorkishore’s account suspended? Please reinstate it.” A person also wrote tagging Elon Musk for misuing free speech. ‘What is this @elonmusk? So much for free speech..!”, the tweet reads. Besides, one more tweet calls Twitter – a ‘cowardice’ and mentioned that Kishore is the voice of Karnataka’s farmers, “@actorkishore’s account suspended? This is absolute cowardice on Twitter’s part. He is the voice of Karnataka’s farmers… @elonmusk must look into this.”
Kishore was seen in Kantara as a forest officer who clashes with Rishab’s character over the local tribe’s encroaching forest lands. Kishore has been outspoken about the religious traditions depicted in Kantara since its release. When some people claimed that the film depicted superstitions, Kishore responded in a lengthy Instagram post.
Kishore is well-known for expressing his views without fear of retaliation from the establishment as an activist, particularly on farmer issues. This sincerity is what draws people to his tweets, but he has yet to respond to the suspension of his Twitter account.
