Veteran actor and director Tariq Shah passes away in Mumbai

New Delhi: Tariq Shah, a famous Kashmiri actor-director, passed away on Saturday in Mumbai. According to India.com, he was facing kidney issues for the last two years and was also undergoing dialysis. Tariq’s last rites will take place on Saturday evening at Yari Road in Mumbai.

The actor was married to actress Shoma Anand and the couple has a daughter, Sarah. Some of the films Tariq was known for are – Bahaar Aane Tak, Mumbai Central, Ehsaas, Gumnaam Hai Koi among others. During his career as a director, he made films like Janam Kundli, Bahaar Aane Tak and was also the producer for Kadwa Sach.

Tariq’s wife Shoma Anand has worked in several hit films like ‘Coolie’, ‘Aag Aur Shola’, ‘Ghar Ek Mandir’, ‘Judaai’. She is well praised for her performance as Bina Mathur in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Hum Paanch’. Some other shows she acted in are ‘Shararat’, ‘Maayka’ and ‘Bhabhi’.
