New Delhi: Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala who is currently enjoying the success of her film ‘Heeramandi’ shared some candid thoughts related to the film which has registered as a huge success at the box office. Manisha played the role of ‘Mallika Jaan’ and her character and performance is highly praised by critics and the fans worldwide.
The ‘Heeramandi’ actress said she received lots of love and praise for her performance from Veteran actress Rekha who attended the premiere of the series and shared her thoughts about Manisha’s acting.
Speaking in one of the interviews, Manisha said ‘ She was telling me that 18-20 years ago she was offered this role. Bacha, i was praying that if i don’t do this role, you should do it. My prayers have come true. You have done it marvelously. You have gone through so much in life and you have bought life to the character’.

Manisha who nailed the character of ‘Mallika Jaan’ in the film, got touched after hearing such kind words for her hard work, she said I got teary-eyed and i told her that you are making me cry. Rekha Ji is a Goddess, I love her. I had the opportunity of knowing her. She is most graceful and poetic. What an artist she is. Her voice, dance, style, aesthetics, you name it. She is a very beautiful person’.

About ‘Heeramandi’ star cast
Film Maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali once shared during the Premiere of the film in Los Angeles, he said ‘ this was 18 years ago at one point it was Rekha Ji, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee, then it changed into another cast. It was Mahira Khan the Pakistani actress, at one point with Imran Abbas and Fawad Khan but that changed.
