New Delhi: While the wedding bells started ringing for various celebrities like Rajkummar Rao-Patralekha and Anushka Ranjan-Aditya Seal, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are making headlines owing to their wedding rumours. Although the couple did not make any official announcements, their friends and colleagues revealed that the duo will tie their knots on December 9 at Jaipur.
However, as per the latest report, Vicky and Katrina are planning to trim down the wedding guest list considering the new coronavirus variant Omicron.
Vicky and Katrina have settled almost everything from preparing special mehendi to hiring an international photographer. However, the duo has been worrisome due to the onset of the new variant of coronavirus. Though the new variant hasn’t created immediate cause for concern in India, the couple is planning to trim down their guest list at the wedding.
A source close to Vicky and Katrina stated that the wedding planners have raised a concern about the number of guests being invited to the wedding. The couple had a virtual meeting over the weekend with the planners to check any concerns that might arise due to the new variant spreading rapidly over several parts of the world.
“They don’t want to take any chances and now the new concern is to downsize the guest list in light of the new variant. While the couple has decided to invite all their co-stars, directors and producers now they are revising the list and figuring things out with a new perspective. Katrina’s side also has a few guests who will be travelling from overseas and that might change given the new travel guidelines being issued,” said the source close to Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal.
Reportedly, the couple will have a court marriage before heading off to the original destination of their traditional wedding. They booked a resort-fort in Jaipur for their wedding.
Reports suggest that the couple will soon confirm their wedding in the coming days.
