New Delhi: Hollywood singer Katy Perry had to go through an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction moment on the stage of the popular singing reality show ‘American Idol’.
Katy fell victim to a major oops moment on the TV reality show during her live impromptu performance. While singing a song in front of a huge crowd, Perry splits her leather pants from the back and while the audience sitting there just kept watching with wide eyes.
The video of her wardrobe malfunction has gone crazy viral on social media platforms.
The video of the incident that took place on the American Idol’s Monday episode shows Perry singing her hit song ‘Teenage Dream’. Trying to keep her performance lit, Katy leaned backward leading her skin-tight pants to split in the middle of her live staging.
Initially, the audience was shocked to see this, though they later laughed off the malfunction moment.

Katy’s fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan on the American Idol show couldn’t stop themselves from laughing as well. Luke laughed and said, “The concert is officially over”.
But interestingly, Katy did not stop her performance because of this fashion disaster and kept on handling it while laughing off at the embarrassing situation.
Katy asked the crew members present there if she can get the tapes. Then the crew members brought the tape on the stage and applied yellow-colored duct tape to the torn area of the pants.
Perry concluded the rest of her music performance by sticking duct tape on her pants.
However, this is not the first time that Katy has had to fall prey to such on-stage disasters. She has gone through such a wardrobe malfunction in 2018 as well, where she had to hide the torn portion of her trousers with tape.
