Vivek Agnihotri says ‘be ready to cry,’ drops the teaser of ‘The Kashmir Files Unreported’

New Delhi: Following the massive success of his directorial venture The Kashmir Files, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri is back again with the announcement of his upcoming movie based on a similar theme titled ‘The Kashmir files unreported’.

Informing about the same, the veteran director took to his Twitter and announced the upcoming movie saying “A lot of Genocide Deniers, terror supporters & enemies of Bharat questioned The Kashmir Files. Now bringing to you the VULGAR truth of the Kashmir Genocide of Hindus which only a devil can question. Be ready to cry.”

Although Vivek hasn’t revealed much about the movie, it is speculated that it will feature some of the actual victims of the Kashmir genocide.

It is also confirmed that the upcoming movie will not have its theatrical release and will be exclusively available on OTT platform Zee 5 which has already dropped its intriguing teaser with a caption that says, “Some tragedies are still yearning for a closure. Rediscover the neglected chapters of Kashmiri Pandit’s history.”

The Kashmir Files, released earlier this year in March, depicted the story of the mass migration of Kashmiri Hindus from the Kashmir valley following their rampant target killing by Pakistan-supported terrorists back in the 1990s.

Despite being labelled as ‘Propaganda’ and facing huge backlash and calls for ban from a large section of society, The highly controversial movie triumphed at the box office and became one of the highest-grossing movies of 2023.

The film’s leading cast features Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, and Pallavi Joshi playing key roles.

The controversial yet popular director known for making movies on sensitive topics is currently working on his upcoming directorial venture titled ‘The vaccine warrior ‘ which was originally planned to be released in more than 10 languages on independence day. However, some unknown reasons halted the upcoming movie’s independence day release as it was later postponed to September 28.

The movie features Anupam Kher in the leading cast and centers around the true story of the cutthroat race between various medical institutions for creating the vaccine for covid-19.

It further highlights the sacrifices made by the brave people who dedicated two years of their lives to develop an effective vaccine for saving lives and countering the covid-19 pandemic.
