New Delhi: Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya recently got engaged in a private ceremony in Hyderabad on August 8th, 2024.
Following years of dating, Nagarjuna confirmed the couple’s relationship by posting their engagement photos on social media. Naga Chaitanya was formerly married to Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
Amid this, an old video went viral on social media where Sobhita was seen praising Samantha’s journey and describing her approach to leading a project as ‘cool.’ The video was taken while she was promoting her show, The Night Manager Part 2.
In the video, Sobhita said, “I think her (Samantha) journey is super cool. If you see her filmography, the way she can headline a project right now, it’s cool.” When asked about Naga Chaitanya, she added, “I think his temperament to… I think he’s such a cool-headed, calm guy. So dignified. I appreciate it.”

Sobhita and Naga have been seen together in various locations, including London and Hyderabad. Last year, they were spotted in Hyderabad, where the actress was promoting his film. Reports also suggested that Sobhita not only promoted her movie but also celebrated her now ‘fiancé’s’ birthday.
On Thursday, sharing the news of Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya’s engagement, Nagarjuna wrote, “We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 a.m.!! We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family. “Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness. Fans were quick to extend their best wishes to the couple. However, some netizens criticized Naga Chaitanya for getting engaged to Sobhita on the same date that Samantha had proposed to him years ago.
