New Delhi: Following a 14-week-long thrilling Journey full of challenges fights, bonds, dramas, and controversies, Bigg Boss Malayalam finally reached its conclusion this Sunday.
The fifth installment of the much-anticipated show, ended with Reneesha Rehman being crowned as first runner-up followed by Junaiz VP on the pedestal of second runner-up and Shobha Vishwnath as the third runner-up.
Akhil Marar Crowned Champion
On top of all the other contestants stood the season’s Champion Akhil Marar whose impressive performance and determination helped him secure the 1st position in the Popular reality show.
Besides the prestigious title, the 34-year-old also received a Sum of Rs 50 lakh along with a brand new car for emerging victorious in the Mohanlal-hosted show.
Journey to the Finale
After Shiju AR’s shocking early eviction from Bigg Boss’s house, a handful of contestants were left competing for the title. Prior to this, we also saw a surprising twist in the show when one of the top contenders, Nandira Mehrin walked out of the show after opting for the money box option as she exited Big Boss’ house with Rs 7.75 lakh in her hands.
Finally, it all came down to the much-awaited night of the Grand finale which was glittered by some exciting dance performances from the ex-contestants of the show.
As the night proceeded, we also witnessed the evicted contestants Suraj and Nody making the viewers laugh with their spot-on comedy skits. Besides this, several other arrangements for the constant entertainment of the audience were made by the show makers to ensure that the unforgettable night doesn’t loses its charm at any point in time.
Akhil’s Road to Glory
Akhils Journey in the Bigg Boss house was full of highs and lows. His Charisma, unique personality, and gaming sense combined with his determination while performing tasks went well with the audience.
Moreover, his humour and intelligence also impressed the masses and made the spotlight follow him throughout the show.
Although his anger issues, ideology, and other shortcomings attracted significant criticism from the viewers and his co-contestants, the champion rose up to the challenges, faced everything thrown at him smartly, and emerged victorious in the 5th season of the show.
Who is Akhil?
The Bigg Boss Malayalam’s winner Akhil is a popular Malyali actor who is well known for his acting in Malyali movies. Prior to his days in the industry, Akhil worked as a representative as well as a manager in a medicine company.
However, his life took an unexpected turn when her long relationship with his girlfriend ended following which, the actor walked away from his goals and started workings at a Juice Corner to make ends meet. He also revealed about working as an Agriculturalist who use to do cultivation in a nearby farm in Kerela.
Finally, Akhil made his acting debut in the industry with his movie titled Perariyathavar which was released back in 2015. He also tried his hand at directing in 2021 with his directorial debut Oru Thatvika.
Now in 2023, Akhil is making headlines again after triumphing over the Aisanet reality show Big Boss Malayalam.
Notably, the actor once also revealed that he dislikes the reality show while saying that he has never watched it for more than 5 minutes and that he never ever thought about being a part of the same.
