A special visit begins with a special gesture. PM Sheikh Hasina welcomes PM Modi at Dhaka airport.

At Savar, PM Modi planted an Arjuna Tree sapling. This sapling has been planted as a mark of respect for the valorous martyrs of Bangladesh.

PM Modi planted a sapling at the National Martyr’s Memorial in Savar today. In the same complex, Atal Ji had planted a sapling during his Bangladesh visit in 1999.

On the 50th Independence Day of Bangladesh, PM Modi paid tributes at the National Martyr’s Memorial in Savar. The courage of those who took part in the Liberation War of Bangladesh motivates many.

During PM’s visit to National Martyr’s Memorial he inscribed “That their valour will continue to inspire future generations to fight injustice and defend the cause of righteousness.”
