Today, almost 32 years have passed since PM Modi’s 1992 Ayodhya visit and his dream of inaugurating Lord Rama’s historical temple in Ayodhya is merely 8 days away from turning into a beautiful reality

New Delhi: 32 years back, it was a red-letter day on January 14th, 1992 winter when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the holy city of Ayodhya and sought the blessings of Lord Rama inside the Babari structure.

On that very day, the PM also took a historic pledge that is now set to be fulfilled with the approaching Pran Pratistha ceremony of Ayodhya’s newly built Ram temple, bound to take place on Jaunary 22 2024.

Committed to spreading the message of unity across the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accompanied by Murali Manohar Joshi, set off on a yatra (journey) from Kanyakumari to Kashmir in 1992.

It was only during this remarkable journey that he arrived at the birth town of Lord Rama,  Ayodhya where he walked inside the Babri structure, surrounded by the chants of jai Shree Ram (Hail lord Rama), and bowed down in front of Lord Rama.

After seeking the almighty’s blessings, the PM then vowed that he would only return to Lord Rama after his temple was rebuilt in the city of Ayodhya. Months after his pledge, the Babri structure was pulled down by several activities of VHP & other ally Hindu organizations on 6 December 1992.

The Centuries-Long Struggle For Ram Mandir

Today, almost 32 years have passed since PM Modi’s 1992 Ayodhya visit and his dream of inaugurating Lord Rama’s historical temple in Ayodhya is merely 8 days away from turning into a beautiful reality, all thanks to the PM’s devotion to Lord Rama & the centuries-long struggle and commitment of Ram Bhakts.

Even during the groundbreaking Bhoomi Pojan ceremony of Ram temple site, PM Narendra Modi displayed his deep faith and belief in Lord Rama when the country saw him performing the prostration (Shastang Pranam) in front of Ram Lala.

Let’s also not forget that the landmark ruling of the Supreme Court, which paved the way for the construction of Rama Mandir back in 2019, also came at a time when PM Modi headed the BJP government was in power.
