Ace commentator Harsha Bhogle ‘harassed’ by Bajaj Allianz, former shares his ordeal on X

The leading TV presenter disclosed that he was subject to pestering calls & messages, day & night by the BajajAllianz insurance company and despite his repeated ‘personal requests’ to the company, his complaints went unheard.

New Delhi: Cricket commentator and presenter Harsha Bhogle has become the latest celebrity victim of pesky marketing calls, a practice undertaken by many firms to identify & lure new customers.

The ace commentator took to his X handle on Wednesday and shared his harrowing & tormenting experience with Bajaj Allianz General Insurer, one of country’s leading private insurer.

Harsha Bhogle revealed how he was at the receiving end of the private insurance company as the latter kept riding  roughshod over his concerns & polite reminders.

The leading TV presenter disclosed that he was subject to pestering calls & messages, day & night by the BajajAllianz insurance company and despite his repeated ‘personal requests’ to the company, his complaints went unheard.

He says that he and his family keep getting badgered & pestered by the company via phone calls, sms-es, WhatsApp messages & emails and he feels helpless & ‘miserable’ over such arrogant behavior.

Taking to his X handle, he said, “I try not to put things in the public domain. But, we have been constantly harassed, through sms-es, whatsapp messages, emails and particularly through bot driven calls.”

Bhogle further informed that he made several polite requests to the company to stop pestering them with marketing calls & messages, he was assured of the same. But, it hasn’t stopped and goes unabated.

“I asked, as politely as I could, if this bombardment could stop. I was promised it would but it hasn’t,” he wrote on X.

Bhogle snaps ties with Bajaj

Agitated & perturbed over repeated ‘intrusion’ into his private space, the leading TV presenter today decided to snap ties with the Bajaj Allianz.

Bhogle tweeted that now he had to no option but to end association with the insurance company.

He also said that he doesn’t like to put things in public domain but his abject treatment at the hands of Bajaj Allianz forced him to take the extreme step.

“BajajAllianz we have told our insurance agent, an old family connection, that we will use any health insurance except BajajAllianz,” he said further.

Notably, Harsha Bhogle is not a one-off case of harassment & torture at the hands of marketing companies. A lot of common people receive such annoying & pestering marketing calls throughout the day, against their will. What’s a matter of big concern is that these marketing calls remain beyond one’s control. Even if one is getting irritated & angry over repeated calls, he/she can’t do much about it.

Earlier, Government had introduced DONOT CALL LIST registry for those customers unwilling for such calls. However, this merely remains a lip service. The companies usually don’t pay heed to your request and keep on frantically calling you to promote and sell their product.
