Adipurush screening stopped at Maharashtra’s multiplex, following spat & slogan shouting (VIDEO)

New Delhi: While the Adipurush frenzy grips the nation and draws record number of visitors to multiplexes, the movie has raised hackles of many ‘rambhakts’, courtesy its cringey dialogues.

In Maharashtra, a group of people purportedly belonging to right-wing outfit stormed into the cinema hall and stopped its screening while protesting against the offending dialogues in movie.

The protesters created ruckus in the cinema hall, indulged in verbal altercation with the multiplex staff and also appealed to people to boycott the movie that they claimed that shows Hindu gods & deities in bad light.

They also indulged in slogan-shouting against the Adipurush makers and slammed the Hindi film industry for offending & hurting the faith of Rambhakts.


Notably, the dialogues of Lord Hanuman in the movie has created big row and is receiving a lot of backlash rather than praise. Manoj Muntashir tried to reason it out but that failed to convince the audience and the makers announced that they will revisit & possible replace the dialogues in coming days.

Meanwhile , Adipurush, within 3 days of its release, has been re-writing the history at Box Office and shattering many records. The film being the mythological adaption of Ramayan starring Prabhas & Kirti Sanon starrer film has earned more than Rs 300 crore worldwide in just 3 days. Reports suggest that the movie has taken over SRK’s Pathaan, the biggest blockbuster of the year.
