After basketball, garba dance now BJP’s Pragya Singh Thakur plays cricket

Pragya Thakur was held as an accused in the 2008 Malegaon bombings that killed 10 people and left several accused.

Bharatiya Janata Party MP Pragya Singh Thakur who is currently out on bail on health grounds for her association with the Malegaon blasts case has been seen taking part in different activities even though she moves in a wheelchair. In the latest video, Pragya Singh is seen playing cricket in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal.

The video shows that Pragya in saffron-robe hitting the ball comfortably with the bat with several people cheering on. Pragya is seen playing in Bhopal’s Shakti Nagar area. The video is near to one minute.

The leader has escaped several court appearances in the Malegaon blasts case citing ill-health.

In the past, she had come under accusations by several Opposition parties for dancing and playing football.

Critics have claimed that the BJP MP has shown no infirmity in the recent viral video. In October, she was seen joining a Garba dance while visiting Navratri celebrations. Besides, another video went viral which showed her playing basketball in Bhopal. Also, she enjoyed a round of kabaddi with women players at the ground in Bhopal, while visiting a Kali temple.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) granted her bail in 2017 due to her ill health. She won the Lok Sabha elections in 2019 defeating the Congress leader Digvijaya Singh by more than 3.6 lakh votes.

She appeared in Mumbai’s NIA trial court in November and was asked to appear before the court whenever she is summoned.
