After urinating incident, Shankar Mishra banned for 4 months by Airlines: Air India

Shankar Mishra, the man who urinated on 70 year old woman passenger on an Air India flight banned for four months by Airlines.

New Delhi:  After the urinating incident on the Air India flight on Nov 26, 2022, passenger Shankar Mishra has been banned for four months by Air India, said Air India in a statement today.

Shankar Mishra, is accused of urinating on a 70-year-old woman in an intoxicated condition in business class of an Air India flight in Nov last year.

He was arrested by Delhi police from Bengaluru on January 6, 2023.

On January 4th, Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Shankar Mishra after a complaint was given by the woman to Air India under sections 354, 509, and 510 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 23 of the Indian Aircraft Act.

Following the incident was highlighted in the news and social media platforms where people condemned the act, he was terminated from the organisation he was working with.

Shankar Mishra was working with US-based financial services company Wells Fargo.

Earlier, in the bail plea, Shankar Mishra said he will continue to cooperate with the police in the further investigation.

According to the allegations, the accused Shankar Mishra was drunk and had consumed alcohol during the flight.

Meanwhile, Shankar Mishra had earlier claimed that the woman urinated on herself.
