New Delhi: Taking a precautionary measure to stop any protest against the Centre’s Agnipath Scheme, Gurugram police has imposed Section 144. In a protest against the scheme in Telangana, one person lost his life.
”Prohibitory orders u/s 144 CrPC have been issued to restrict gathering of more than four persons in Gurugram. Strict action will be taken against those who take the law into their hands,” said the police in its statement on Twitter.

Speaking on the latest development, Gurgram DM said, ”I am satisfied that in order to avoid disturbance and unnecessary interference in the maintenance of law and order, directions to impose restrictions on free movements of persons and gathering of more than four persons are necessary in the Gururam district .”
In Telangana’s Secunderabad Railway station, a person got injured and three others received injuries after the railway police opened fire to disperse the protestor
Police opened about 15 rounds of fire after receiving instructions for the same from their superiors.
