Ahmedabad: PM Modi inaugurates Atal Bridge at Sabarmati riverfront 

After addressing the ‘Khadi Utsav’ at the Sabarmati riverfront, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Atal Bridge in Ahmedabad.

New Delhi: After addressing the ‘Khadi Utsav’ at the Sabarmati riverfront, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Atal Bridge in Ahmedabad. Ahead of the inauguration ceremony, PM Modi attended a khadi event and addressed over 7,500 woman artisans from various districts of the state.

Meanwhile, PM Modi was accompanied by CM Bhupendra Patel. At the event, PM Modi was also seen trying his hands at the spinning wheel of a charkha.

PM Modi also posted a few photos through his Twitter handle and wrote, ”Doesn’t the Atal Bridge look spectacular.”

On Sunday, PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate ‘Smriti Van’ in Bhuj and lay the foundation stones of various developmental projects at Bhuj. Later, he will address a programme in Gandhinagar dedicated to commemorating the completion of 40 years of Suzuki in India.

Atal foot over bridge

The Atal foot-over bridge has been built by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.

The bridge is nearly 300m long and 14m wide. The bridge has been designed very beautifully and decorated with LED lighting for the night.
