New Delhi: Shankar Mishra, the accused in Air India pee-gate on Friday made an astonishing claim in court that he didn’t urinate on the woman co-passenger in the New York-New Delhi flight and rather she peed herself on her clothing.
The sensational allegation by accused comes days after the matter brought international shame for the airline as well as the country and he was also arrested by Delhi Police team for insane act.
Shankar Mishra’s lawyer reportedly told the court that the woman passenger’s seat was inaccessible and it wasn’t possible for his client to visit there.
“The woman has a problem with incontinence. She urinated on herself. She is a Kathak dancer, 80% of kathak dancers have this issue,” she reportedly told a news agency.
Mishra’s lawyer also took potshots at the media and accused it of tarnishing flier’s reputation by furnishing false claims & exaggerating it beyond limits. He said that Shankar Mishra was being wrongly framed for none of his mistake.
It may be noted that Shankar Mishra was arrested on January 7 and has been sent to 14-day judicial custody by the Patiala House Court. He was arrested on charges of urinating on elderly woman passenger in the business class of Air India flight on November 26, 2022.
The man was heavily drunk and the same was corroborate by one of his co-passengers of the flight. Latter, while speaking to a TV channel also said that Mishra after peeing incident told him, “Friend, it seems I have got into a big problem.”
