
New Delhi: Air India’s flight carrying 219 Indian students in the first batch has landed in Mumbai from Ukraine on Saturday evening. To welcome the students, Union Minister Piyush Goyal reached Mumbai airport.
Following the arrival, every student seemed happy and they all thanked the Indian government for arranging a flight to ensure their safe return. Many students also took selfies with Goyal at the airport.
Interacting with media, Goyal said this was the first batch and the second batch will soon reach Delhi. ”We will not stop until all of them are back home,” added the minister.
Earlier, it was reported that around 20,000 Indians are stranded in Ukraine since Russia invaded the country.

The video of the minister interacting with students inside the flight is also going viral on the internet. The video starts with students shouting ”Jai Hind”. Goyal welcomed the students on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also assured the students not to worry and keep patient as the Indian government is working to bring back all Indians to home.

An MBBS student who returned to India from Ukraine said he was confident that the Indian government would bring us home. He added, ”There was some fear and panic, but we are very happy to be back

Another student, Akanksha Rawat, shared his experience in Ukraine saying, ”I was really scared but thanks to the Indian government we reached safely.”

Following the arrival in India, not only Indian students were happy but also the flight attendants expressed their joy at the airport.
