New Delhi: In a brazen murder in broad daylight in Punjab’s Mohali, a leader of Shiromani Akali Dal’s youth wing was shot dead by unidentified assailants.
The chilling murder was caught on camera. In the video, unidentified gunmen could be seen firing at the Akali leader Vikramjit Singh while the latter could be seen running for cover.
The murderous attack took place on the Akali Dal leader while he was coming out of the building after meeting a property dealer’s office in Mataur market in Sector 71.

According to police, 2 out of 4 masked attackers chased down Vikramjit Singh alias Vicky Middukhera and opened fire at him while he was about to sit in his SUV vehicle.
The attackers were hiding near the building and as the Akali leader came, they launched an ambush attack on him.
Vicky was taken to a nearby hospital in PCR van from the spot.
Vicky was a student leader and also a president of Students Organisation of Punjab University. He is also closely associated with Akali Dal leaders and had also campaigned for SAD in Assembly as well as Parliamentary elections.
He was married two years ago and was seen as promising leader by many in the political community. He was also known to many Punjabi singers.
